Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd Confirm They Split Over a Year Ago — After Playing a Whole WNBA Season Together
Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd just confirmed what fans have been guessing at for months — and the timeline is the twist.
On Thursday’s episode of Fudd’s podcast, “Fudd Around and Find Out,” Fudd told listeners: “Paige and I have something that we want to share with everyone. We are no longer together.”
The split, Bueckers said, happened “over a year” ago — before Fudd was drafted No. 1 overall by the Dallas Wings in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Bueckers was the No. 1 pick the year before. The two former UConn teammates hard-launched their relationship in August 2025 — then played an entire WNBA season together as teammates after the breakup, remaining friends through it.
Bueckers also shut down any suggestion the relationship had anything to do with the draft. “She was not drafted because she was my girlfriend,” she said. “She was drafted because she deserved it.”
Fudd is currently recovering from a season-ending knee injury. The Wings were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs over a month ago.
