Morning Briefing: Emergency Alerts, a WNBA Split & a Big Saturday Ahead
Good morning, Toledo — it’s Saturday, Nov. 7, and here’s what you need to know before your coffee gets cold.
Lucas County wants your verdict on its emergency alerts
After October’s chemical leak — when residents said they smelled chemicals before any evacuation order — and this week’s false nuclear alert that told Monroe County to evacuate when nothing was wrong at Fermi II, the county’s Emergency Management Agency is asking residents to rate the alert system. The survey is short, and it’s your chance to say what worked and what never arrived.
Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd confirm their split
The two former UConn stars say they broke up over a year ago — before Fudd was drafted No. 1 by Dallas — then played a whole WNBA season together as teammates anyway.
Good Charlotte brings back the album they deleted
“Greetings From California” — released as The Madden Brothers in 2014, pulled from streaming in 2015 — is back with three new tracks, including a first-time Ziggy Marley collab. Vinyl lands on Record Store Day Black Friday.
