Toledo Gas Just Fell Again — $3.81 a Gallon, Down 33 Cents in a Week
Toledo drivers just caught another break at the pump. The average price of a gallon of regular gas in the Toledo metro fell to $3.81 on Saturday, down 33 cents from $4.14 a week ago, according to AAA.
It’s the next leg down in a slide that has been picking up speed all week. Toledo averaged $4.09 on Nov. 2, then dropped below $4 on Nov. 5 — and prices have kept falling since, shedding another 5 cents just since yesterday.
Here’s where things stand, per AAA’s Nov. 7 update:
- Toledo regular: $3.81 a gallon, down from $4.14 a week ago and $3.86 yesterday
- Ohio average: $3.86 a gallon
- National average: $4.04 a gallon
- Toledo mid-grade: $4.38 | Premium: $4.90
For a typical 15-gallon fill-up, the week’s drop saves Toledo drivers about $5 at the pump compared with last Saturday.
The catch: we’re still paying more than last year. A year ago, Toledo regular averaged $3.14 a gallon — meaning drivers are still paying about 66 cents more per gallon than they were last November, even after this week’s drop.
And diesel drivers are getting no relief at all. Toledo diesel averaged $6.28 a gallon on Saturday, with the Ohio average at $6.33 — still near the record highs seen in September, when Ohio diesel hit $6.82 a gallon on Sept. 22, according to AAA.
Ohio prices have been falling statewide. Stacker tracks how Ohio gas prices have changed week to week — and this week’s drop is one of the sharpest in recent months.
The bottom line for Toledo wallets: the trend is finally moving the right way, and fast. Whether it holds depends on what happens next at the wholesale level — but for now, filling up costs noticeably less than it did seven days ago.
